Use this page to identify material in SYR that you believe infringes copyright, to answer a removal request with a counter-notice, or to report another intellectual-property concern.

The registration covers the alternate service-provider names SYR; SYR - Say You're Real; SYR App; Say You're Real; Say You're Real App; and sayyourereal.com. Private Copyright Office payment or registration-tracking information is not a public agent fact and is never requested through this page.

Keep unlawful or intimate material out of the form. Give only a SYR username, in-app reference, URL, or other locator that lets us find the material. Do not upload or paste the work, removed material, identity documents, passwords, one-time codes, CSAM, or intimate media. For intimate-image abuse, use Take It Down Help.

How the process works

  1. Choose the form that matches your request and complete the security check.
  2. After a successful submission, save the private status key shown once on the receipt.
  3. Then use Request Status to check progress and, when offered, verify an email address with a one-time code for private correspondence.

A successful receipt confirms submission only—not that a request is legally sufficient or that infringement occurred. We may ask for missing information. A substantially complete notice is reviewed expeditiously. We may send a copy of a valid removal notice to the affected uploader. When SYR receives a valid counter-notice, we may send a copy, including the statutory contact information, to the original claimant. SYR may restore or replace the affected material in 10 to 14 business days after forwarding a valid counter-notice unless the original claimant gives notice of a qualifying court action.

Other intellectual-property concern

Use this for trademark, publicity-right, or another IP concern that is not a copyright removal notice or counter-notice.

Repeat infringement, account action, and retention

SYR may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts for infringement or other rights violations. In appropriate circumstances, SYR terminates repeat infringers. Operators review each supported notice, relevant prior findings, evasion, and any counter-notice or appeal before account-level action; a report count alone is not a finding.

Copyright notices, counter-notices, required contact and statement information, and related correspondence may be retained for three years after the matter closes unless a documented legal hold applies. The public forms never accept media files.

Official information

Read the U.S. Copyright Office's Section 512 resources, the official 17 U.S.C. 512 text, and the Copyright Office's designated-agent FAQ. These resources are not legal advice from SYR.
