Keep unlawful or intimate material out of the form. Give only a SYR username, in-app reference, URL, or other locator that lets us find the material. Do not upload or paste the work, removed material, identity documents, passwords, one-time codes, CSAM, or intimate media. For intimate-image abuse, use Take It Down Help.
How the process works
- Email the designated agent at [email protected], or mail the required written notice to the address above.
- Use the checklist below for the request type and provide precise locators and text only.
- Keep the sent message and any acknowledgement for your records. SYR may ask for missing information through the same private channel.
A successful receipt confirms submission only—not that a request is legally sufficient or that infringement occurred. We may ask for missing information. A substantially complete notice is reviewed expeditiously. We may send a copy of a valid removal notice to the affected uploader. When SYR receives a valid counter-notice, we may send a copy, including the statutory contact information, to the original claimant. SYR may restore or replace the affected material in 10 to 14 business days after forwarding a valid counter-notice unless the original claimant gives notice of a qualifying court action.
Send a copyright or IP request
For a copyright removal notice, identify the copyrighted work and the material’s location; provide your full name, physical address, telephone number, email address if available, and electronic signature; state your good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized; and state under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner. For a counter-notice, identify the removed material and its former location; explain the mistake or misidentification; provide your full name, physical address, telephone number, email address if available, and electronic signature; make the required penalty-of-perjury statement; consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district where your address is located, or if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which SYR may be found; and agree to accept service of process from the person who provided the removal notice or that person’s agent. For another IP concern, identify the right, material, locator, and requested action.
Do not attach media, identity documents, passwords, or verification codes.
Repeat infringement, account action, and retention
SYR may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts for infringement or other rights violations. In appropriate circumstances, SYR terminates repeat infringers. Operators review each supported notice, relevant prior findings, evasion, and any counter-notice or appeal before account-level action; a report count alone is not a finding.
Copyright notices, counter-notices, required contact and statement information, and related correspondence may be retained for three years after the matter closes unless a documented legal hold applies. The public forms never accept media files.
