Take It Down
How to ask for help.
Use the form below when an intimate image has been published without consent, including a sexual deepfake or imagery involving anyone under 18. If someone is threatening to share an image or using it for sextortion but has not published it, use the safety report form on Support instead.
Effective August 16, 2026
Do not upload, attach, forward, or paste intimate media into this form or email. Do not download or redistribute imagery of a minor to make a report. If there is immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
First steps
- Use the in-app report and block controls when you can safely reach the relevant account or content.
- Preserve non-explicit context such as the SYR username, content or report reference, date, and a short description. Do not make extra copies of intimate material.
- If the material was published in SYR, use the removal form below. If it is a threat only or sextortion without a published SYR item, use the safety report form.
- Consider the independent resource that fits the age of the person when the image was created.
SYR response and status
After a successful submission, you receive an immediate acknowledgment and private status key. A valid written request must include your electronic signature, a way for SYR to contact you, a locator that lets SYR identify the material, and the required authority and good-faith statements. The 48-hour removal period applies to the identified depiction once SYR receives that complete valid request. SYR also makes reasonable efforts to identify and remove known identical copies. Contact and signature values are encrypted for restricted handling and are never shown on the public status route. A failed or incomplete removal is escalated and is not described as completion. This process does not make SYR an emergency service.
NCMEC Take It Down
For nude, partially nude, or sexually explicit images or videos taken when the person shown was under 18—even if that person is now an adult. NCMEC says the tool can create a hash on the device without the image leaving it.
NCMEC CyberTipline
For suspected online child sexual exploitation. Do not send suspected child sexual abuse material to SYR's public form.
StopNCII.org
An independent tool for someone who was 18 or older when the intimate image was taken. Check its current eligibility and participating-service information directly.
These are independent services. SYR does not operate them, control their coverage, or promise that another service or platform will remove content.
