Privacy Policy
Say You're Real Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-06-09. This plain-English policy explains how the SYR beta handles information for Say You're Real.
In the current beta, private photo/content visibility is connected-only. The app is designed around sharing with trusted connections, not a public feed.
Information We Process
Depending on how you use the beta, SYR may process:
- Account and profile data, such as email address, username, display name, profile details, avatar/profile media, and account status.
- Photos and user content, including camera posts, selected photos, captions, comments, replies, profile text, and other content you choose to add.
- Seen and view data, such as whether a photo was viewed, view counts, timestamps, and activity needed to show app functionality.
- Connections and relationship data, such as connection requests, approved connections, inner-circle settings, and connected-only visibility rules.
- Photo-linked messages, including message content, thread participation, timestamps, and the photo context for private conversations.
- Reports and blocks, including safety report reasons, optional details, blocked user records, and moderation status.
- Device and app data, such as basic app runtime information, device permissions needed for camera/photo access, local app state, and technical logs generated by app-store or backend services.
- Support and deletion request information that you send by email, support form, or another support channel.
Supabase Backend And Storage
SYR uses Supabase for beta account authentication, profile data, app database records, and storage for user-uploaded media. Supabase helps the app store content, enforce privacy rules, and provide connected-only access to eligible users.
Media and app records are not intended to be public by default in the beta. Access is controlled through the app's account, connection, reporting, blocking, and visibility logic.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate the beta, authenticate users, display profiles and photos, support comments and photo-linked messaging, enforce connected-only visibility, process safety reports and blocks, respond to support requests, handle account deletion requests, maintain security, and improve reliability.
Sharing And Visibility
Your photos, comments, messages, and profile details may be visible to other SYR users only where the app's current beta visibility rules allow it. In the current beta, private photo/content visibility is connected-only.
We may share information with service providers that help operate the app, such as Supabase, app-store distribution providers, hosting providers, and support tools. We may also disclose information if required by law or needed to protect rights, safety, users, or the service.
No Sale Of Personal Data
We do not sell personal data.
No Third-Party Advertising Or Tracking In Current Beta
The current beta does not include third-party advertising or third-party tracking. If advertising, analytics, attribution, or other tracking tools are added later, this policy and store privacy disclosures should be updated before use.
Your Choices
You can use in-app controls to report or block users where available. You can request account and associated data deletion from inside the app and/or through the support process.
For privacy, support, or deletion requests, contact chris@cegeenterprises.com.
Children
SYR is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the beta, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Changes
We may update this policy as the beta changes. The effective date above shows when this version became effective.
